Safeguarding

Safeguarding at Striver.

Striver is built for young players, young fans and aspiring creators. That means safeguarding is not a policy we bolt on. It sits inside how we cover the game and how we run the community.

  1. Home
  2. Safeguarding

Our commitment

Hate-free by design.

Every article, every surface, every moderation decision sets the tone for the culture we are building. We are passionate, not tribal. We disagree, we do not attack. We are especially careful with young players and writers who are still finding their voice.

In our coverage

Four rules we hold writers to.

  • We critique, we do not abuseAnalysis is fair, specific, and built on evidence. No personal attacks, no pile-ons.
  • We are careful with young playersWriters and editors apply extra care to anyone under 18. When in doubt, we imagine the subject reading the piece.
  • We platform diverse voicesWomen’s football, grassroots, academy and international pathway stories sit alongside the professional game, not after it.
  • We protect the communityNo racist, sexist, or homophobic language, ever. No content that feeds tribal hatred. Moderation routes exist for every surface we publish on.

Raising a concern

Tell us, and we will act.

If you see something on Striver that concerns you, or if you have a safeguarding worry about someone we cover or someone in our community, get in touch directly. The quickest route is our Head of Marketing, Comms and PR, who escalates to the safeguarding lead and leadership.

  • Eleanor@joinstriver.com

We review every concern quickly and escalate the response with safeguarding and editorial leadership where needed.
