Liverpool's Mohamed Salah has reportedly delivered a motivating speech to his teammates ahead of Egypt's opener in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Egypt will kick off their 2025 AFCON campaign against Zimbabwe at the Adrar Stadium in Morocco on Monday evening.
Salah is set to lead Egypt in another tournament. After a disappointing run in the previous AFCON iteration, his quest for an international trophy continues.
The 33-year-old's side will take on Zimbabwe on Monday evening in their first game of Group B. They are also set to come up against Angola and South Africa.

The report also added that Salah realises that this could potentially be his last major tournament with Egypt.
Liverpool's no.11 turns 34 next summer, and is keen on winning an international title before hanging up his boots.
However, he remains adamant that Egypt can go far in the competition and even claim their first AFCON trophy since 2010.
It's worth noting that Salah played a huge role in Egypt's AFCON campaigns in 2017 and 2022, where he guided them to two finals.
The 2025 PFA Players' Player of the Year also helped Egypt secure World Cup qualification in 2018. It was their first in 28 years.
After rumours of a potential exit, the Liverpool star seems to have his issues with the club behind him.
The club recently showed support for Mo Salah by posting a graphic and promoting Egypt's game against Zimbabwe.
"Salah and Egypt begin their Africa Cup of Nations campaign against Zimbabwe this evening," the club said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
