FC Barcelona is desperate to record a victory to bolster its top-eight hopes when it travels to Sparta Prague tonight.

For UK viewers, the clash kicks off at 8 pm, live on TNT Sport 6.

Jindrich Stanek, Tomas Vlcek, Stepan Chaloupek, David Zima, Youssoupha Mbodji, Jan Boril, Michal Sadilek, David Moses, Ivan Schranz, Youssoupha Sanyang, Tomas Chory.

Slavia Prague will play in a 3-4-2-1 formation.

Joan Garcia, Jules Kounde, Pau Cubarsi, Eric Garcia, Alejandro Balde, Pedri, Marc Casado, Raphinha, Dani Olmo, Marcus Rashford, and Robert Lewandowski.

The Catalan giants will shape up in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

After a month break from competitive football, Slavia Prague head into the game nearly in full health.

Matous Srb and Dominik Javorcek are the players missing due to long-term injuries.

Ferran Torres, Gavi, and Andreas Christensen are all unavailable due to injury.

Star man Lamine Yamal will miss the game through suspension, and four other Barca players run that risk as well.

Frenkie de Jong, Fermin Lopez, Gerard Martin, and Marc Casado will miss the next game if they are yellow-carded tonight.

Slavia Prague hasn’t played a competitive game in over a month because of their domestic break.

Their last competitive game was on the 13th of December, beating Jablonec in the Czech top division.

They played friendlies against Basel, Karlsruher, and Brann, but nothing compares to a game in Europe’s elite.

Defender Tomas Vlcek said, “FC Barcelona is a team I watched as a child. They are the biggest club in the world.”

“It's a tremendous experience for them to visit us here, allowing us to measure our strength against theirs.”

Slavia Prague has won zero, drawn three, and lost three in the Champions League this season.

Last time out, they were beaten 3-0 by Tottenham, leaving them in 33rd spot and four points off the playoffs.

They face a Barcelona team that comes into the contest after defeating rivals Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup final.

However, confidence has dropped after losing 2-1 away to Real Sociedad.

Barca has won four of its last five games in all competitions, but this game is a must-win for European progression.

They have won three, drawn one, and lost two of their opening six matches, leaving them 15th on 10 points.

Barca is three points off the top eight, and with games against Slavia Prague and Copenhagen to come, every Barca fan would expect six points.

Hansi Flick admitted, “We want to get to 16 points. We have potential, and we are looking at each match to improve.”

Barcelona doesn’t make it easy on the road, winning one of their last five away games in the Champions League.

Despite the poor away form, the manager has one goal in mind for the end of the season.

“Everyone wants to win trophies, and the Champions League is one of those.”
