Spurs captain Cristian Romero has caused a stir in the last 24 hours, following his comments on social media.
However, his under-pressure boss, Thomas Frank, has defended the Argentinian.
Moreover, a late winner from Antoine Semenyo condemned Frank to a 3-2 defeat at Bournemouth, handing the Cherries their first win in eleven games.
A night that could not have gone much worse for the Spurs boss, as he was even pictured before the match with an Arsenal-branded cup.
Additionally, the defeat means Spurs have won just one of their previous six games and currently sit 14th in the Premier League.
There were unsavoury scenes in the away section at the Vitality as many of the players appeared to confront the fans after the full-time whistle.
Romero took to Instagram to apologise to the Spurs fans. He said, "Apologies to all the fans who follow us everywhere, who are always there and will continue to be."
He added: "We are responsible, there's no doubt about that."
The Argentinian went on to point fingers at Spurs' hierarchy.
Moreover, on his Instagram, he claimed the club officials "Only show up when things are going well, tell a few lies."
Additionally, he proclaimed, "At times like this, it should be other people coming out to speak - but they don't."
The Danish coach is under severe pressure himself, following Spurs' latest defeat, which has left his side 14th in the table.
However, he came out to defend his captain by saying "After Cuti (Cristian) Romero became club captain, he's done a lot of things right."
Moreover, Frank said: "When you're a young leader, sometimes you make a mistake." he added: "It is of course good to keep it internally."
"We had a good conversation with him this morning about everything."
Frank will be hoping for a positive response in the FA Cup on Saturday, but they face a stern test as they face Unai Emery's Aston Villa.
