A well-executed free-kick went to the flying boot of Show, who perfectly dispatched the ball in the bottom-left-corner, beyond the diving Ronwen Williams.

Two goals, but very different

Whilst Show's goal demonstrated a well executed set piece and more excellent improvisation, El Kaabi also picked up the ball from behind him, but his bicycle kick was more quote on quote 'traditional'. That doesn't make it any less special though...

Two players with different scoring prowess

Whilst El Kaabi of Olympiacos is an attacker, Show (Kocaelispor, on loan from Maccabi Haifa is a holding midfielder. Without basic analysis, there's something a lot deeper to this. The Moroccan forward has a fascinating history of scoring this genre of goal, whilst Show has a very small catalogue of goals (6).

AFCON - a tournament which provides the unexpected

AFCON has that special something. It has that unpredictability. It has that player who turns into a superstar out of relatively no where. It also carries the pressure for the big names - to show up on the big stage. But moreover, you just never know what the theme of the tournament could end up being.

With just three games played so far and two acrobatic goals happening, are we discovering this niche pretty early on?
